life drawing 2012/10/03 at chester/anny's

the model ms.zheng had quite a few dramatic/lyrical poses up her sleeves(-lessness?), and a very fit build (swimmer).

- short 1-10 min poses for 2 hours.
- attempted at getting alot of thin lines by using 4 sharpened conte pencils; sanded all of them at a very shallow angle.
- attempted more orbik style as time increases
- attempted holding the pencil tweezers style for the last 3 longer poses. it was very difficult finding the balance.
- was drawing very small early on - this meant an easier time designing the overall gesture?

- first drawing: it's actually faster to slow down and think about what's being drawn than frantically putting down lines (compare top and bottom figures; although there's always a certain amount of warming up at the beginning) -- perhaps there's enough time increase to be exploited for more variable line width after familiarity with this approach.

- the overall shapes were loose and not very well-tied together (as usual)
